After a strong year including a Masters Madrid win, Sentinels have fallen out of VCT Champions in 4th place, banking them $130,000 and ending their season with a top four finish at Champions, and a Masters Trophy under their belt.

It has been a long time since Sentinels have been near the top of VALORANT, however after this season, Sentinels can comfortably say that they were a top 4 team of 2024.

Another team that can say that is Team Heretics, who have made it to the Lower Final after taking down FNATIC, DRX and now Sentinels. They finished Masters Shanghai in second place to GenG. They are coming into Champions with a point to prove and a trophy to win.

Despite losing the series, Zekken and TenZ topped the scoreboard with 58 and 55 frags across the three series. Despite dropping these kills, it seemed that Sacy and johnqt on Sentinels couldn’t match the firepower and ultimatley, Team Heretics took top spot with a 8-13 Haven, 13-9 Icebox and a 13-7 Abyss sending them into the next series.

This makes a guaranteed top 3 finish for Heretics, the first in the organisations history after being a middle tier team since the start of VALORANT. They have now rocketed to one of the best teams across VCT in 2024.

This win sends Sentinels home with a solid year, after ups and down for the organisation after their Masters Reykjavik win in 2021, they never reached those heights until VCT 2024 with a win over GenG in the Masters Madrid final earlier this year.

Heretics will go on to face off against LEVIATAN after their loss to Edward gaming in the Upper Bracket Final where Edward Gaming will await either Team Heretics or LEVIATAN in the Grand Final of Champions 2024 with a new organisation being crowned as Champions of VCT.
