After a great start in VCT EMEA defeating GIANTX, BBL have shocked fans once again with a 2-1 victory over fallen kings of EMEA, FNATIC.

Despite coming off of an impressive win over GX, BBL were never the favourites for this match-up against FNATIC. Despite losing Derke to Team Vitality and Leo due to illness, they have emerged with their core of Boaster, Chronicle and Alfajer whilst adding VCT EMEA Ascension winning duelist, kaajak, and VCT Masters winner crashies from NRG.

Despite still having a rock solid core, FNATIC just didnt look themselves in this matchup, losing multiple rounds to the timer and even a few rounds to mistakes and whiffs from players who would usually have rock steady aim.

BBL took Abyss 13-8 with FNATIC then bouncing back and taking Fracture, a map they are historically strong at, 13-8 to eventually losing the split 13-10 to the dark horse of EMEA.

Even though FNATIC are playing without their starter, Leo, they are still playing with a seasoned veteran in crashies whilst BBL are playing with a substitute with no international experience whilst their main sentinel player, chiwa, has visa issues.

Not to discredit BBL’s incredible performance against two time international winners, but FNATIC are currently performing much worse than many fans were expecting.

With this game ending in a loss for FNATIC they are now sent down into the lower bracket and are forced to make a lowers run if they want any chance of making it to Masters Bangkok.

They will go onto to face the newly supervised NaVI, where the former FNATIC, hiro, will go up against his former team to try and send FNATIC out of contention after a rather poor start for the kings of EMEA.
