The 2022 VCT Champions winning org, LOUD, have kicked off VCT Americas with a 2-0 win over Evil Geniuses.
After losing Saadhak and Less to EMEA, LOUD on paper looked like a shell of their former selves coming into the start of the season with the only champion left on the roster being pANcada.
Meanwhile, EG had signed VCT Champion yay and former G2 duelist, icy. Despite losing jawgemo they signed yay who was considered at one time the best in the game.
Most fans coming into the game had EG as favourites and when the teams got to the stage and fans saw yay on his historic Chamber, the hopes were high.
Despite yay being back on his famous chamber, LOUD’s dgzin had other ideas dropped 28 kills on his return to VCT after performing in challengers last year.
With this win, LOUD will go onto face KRU Esports in the upper bracket whilst EG will drop down into the lower bracket to face off against either Leviathan or FURIA/2G.
Could LOUD be the dark horses of VCT Americas after many fans counted them in the bottom three of the league?
