A fresh looking all-Korean T1 side take down newly promoted BOOM Esports in the first game of VCT Pacific.
T1 are coming hot off the back of a victory in Redbull HomeGround during the off season where they beat out teams such as FUT, Cloud9 and G2 claiming the trophy and showcasing their new roster.
They went full Korean this season after a poor year in 2024. They removed xccurate, Rossy and Sayaplayer and signed former DRX BuZz, former GenG Meteor and former TOP Sylvan.
Whilst BOOM Esports who didn’t technically win Ascension they got a bi through BLEED Esports being removed from VCT Pacific by Riot Games late last year.

The game didn’t go as smoothly as fans thought however, with BOOM managing to take Bind their way 13-8 and pushing them to the limit on Pearl, however T1 were able to recover and take Fracture comfortably 13-7 in the end.
T1 showed some strange comps with double duelist being heavily leaned into for their fracture and pearl with BuZz and iZu being the duelists for the side whilst the other players took up their usual roles.

With this win, T1 move on to the Upper quarter finals and will face off against Paper Rex with their record against PRX being 0 wins in their VALORANT history, however, T1 are looking very strong and with Paper Rex not changing any roles or players they are the same.
This could mean that the anti-strat will be strong against Paper Rex giving that head start less impact than it should be.
BOOM Esports now head down to the lower bracket to face off against the loser between ZETA Division and Nongshim RedForce.
