For many fans, G2 are one of the only Super Teams across the entire VCT this year with the same core of last years G2 who made it far in Masters Shanghai and made it to Champions Seoul with their Ascension winning roster, with the addition of Champions winning Jawgemo in the place of icy.

With fans wondering how Jawgemo was stuck on EG last year after being one of the most influential players on EG in their Champions winning side, he finally got his big move this year with many teams interested in him including Sentinels, NRG and G2 and eventually he chose the G2 side.

He performed his role against Cloud9 very well, however leaf took all the headlines with 44 kills in 40 rounds of VALORANT on the Sentinel role.

Despite coming off the back of a very confident win over NRG, they looked nothing comparable to that performance with OXY once again having a uncharacteristically bad game 2 times in a row with Xeppaa once again taking the top of the leaderboard on the Tejo and the Sova.

OXY has to have confidence in his talent and will bounce back to hopefully regain his form when Cloud9 face off against MIBR in the lower bracket where they will have to take on the new side of aspas’ created team.

On the other side of things, G2 look ahead to Leviatan where it will be the face-off between Jawgemo and Demon1 + C0M where one team will come out on top and send the other team to a tough lower bracket run.

With Leviatan also having a comfortable 2-0 win over FURIA, G2 could have trouble anti-stratting the new looking Leviatan whereas G2 showed a new Chamber comp on Abyss where some new strats and tech were shown including some ridiculous off angles with leaf dominating the server.
