It has been a rocky few years for Team Liquid, from appearing at Champions 2021, to then winning VCT EMEA 2023, and now they are in a spot where coming up against teams that can brush them aside.

FUT debut their VCT 2025 season with a 2-0 flush of TL after making one change during the off-season. They replaced 2021 Champions winner cNed for VCL challenger xeus.

Team Liquid were coming off of the back of an impressive victory over Movistar KOI with nAts’ IGL looking stronger than some fans believed, however the experience of FUT seemed to be too much for this TL squad.

With qRaxs topping the leaderboard by not much over TL’s kamyk, they took the W comfortably 2-0 taking Pearl 13-7 and Fracture 13-6 not even allowing Team Liquid to reach double digits in rounds on either map.

FUT looked solid during this series showing that they could be one of the favourites to win VCT EMEA Kick-Off and make it to Masters Bangkok after making it to Champions last year with their old roster which included 4 out of the 5 players on their current roster.

The rookie of FUT, yetujey, had a standout series with multiple clutches taking them to a comfortable win and sending them into the upper bracket semi-finals with ease.

FUT will now go on to face the newest EMEA ‘super team’ Team Vitality after their 2-1 victory over Karmine Corp earlier this week.

Whereas, Team Liquid now drop down into the Lower brackets and are set to face off against florescent’s new team APEKS for an elimination game in a crucial game for both organisations.
