Coming off the back off of a rocky win over BOOM Esports, T1 face off against the consistency kings of APAC, Paper Rex.
They came out of this game victorious in a close 2-1 series with the final map of Split going all 24 rounds.
Paper Rex went into the game with little to no off-season games under their belt, however, it didn’t seem out of the ordinary since this team has been the same since VCT 2023 with the roles of the team being switched around a lot since then.
Despite being a T2 Demon on the full time duelist for Sengoku Gaming, he has picked up a new flex role for Paper Rex playing Fade, Breach and also Jett during this series against T1. With his best performance coming from the Jett, which was to be expected.

Despite the role changes in Paper Rex and only running the double duelist on one map, they didn’t look nearly as convincing as their enemy team in T1, with their new all Korean super team combining experience with talent.
As seen above, the bracket has been updated to reflect changes in the team matchups that could’ve ended up in rematches with only 12 teams.
Paper Rex after this loss, will now go on to face off against ZETA Division in the lower bracket where they will have to make a lowers run to make them in contention for Masters Bangkok.
The matchup against ZETA will have Paper Rex as heavy favourites and they should have little to no problems advancing throughout the bracket.
Whereas T1, have advanced into the Upper semi-finals against either Talon or Global Esports where they should also be odds on to make it into the Upper final and one step away from making it to the first masters event of the year.
