After taking down NRG in a shock victory for their debut game, Cloud9 have seemingly fallen off of a cliff in form and have now become the second team in VCT Americas to be eliminated from Kick-Off.
MIBR, following a poor start against 100Thieves, have dropped into the Lower bracket and are forced to make a miracle run through some great teams to make it to Masters Bangkok.
aspas had a point to prove coming into this series with this roster being built completely by him and around him, his judgement is up for scrutiny on whether or not they can perform on the main stage of VCT Americas.

aspas ended this series as the MVP of the match matching OXY’s KD of 57 kills whilst both performing on the duelist role. This matchup showed fans the ‘current GOAT’ and the ‘future GOAT’ of VALORANT facing off against each other.
Whilst teams are leaning more into the Neon and the Yoru for their solo duelist players, aspas still remains on the Raze and Jett that he is so well known for which seems to be working just fine after a monster performance across the three maps against Cloud9.

This win from MIBR, sets up a battle that was once legendary. yay vs aspas. This matchup has been sought after for years since in yay’s glory days on opTic, he was standing shoulder to shoulder with aspas to see who would come out on top in their rankings.
It ended with aspas lifting the Champions 2022 trophy in a 3-1 victory over opTic, whilst aspas then carried on his performance to VCT Americas, yay was dropped to NA Challengers and then a very poor year at BLEED.
He has been given new life at Evil Geniuses however, he has taken up a new role whilst aspas still remains dominant on the duelist, and remians the most sought after player in VCT.
This loss for C9, means the end of their Kick-Off journey with a tough road to Bangkok they managed one upset victory over NRG, where they will hope to bring that form into Stage 1.
