After a great year last year in VCT, Team Heretics were heavy favourites to make VCT Masters Bangkok as they didn’t make one change to their roster keeping everyone including their coaching staff.
However, Team Liquid, the dark horses of EMEA have started their year in incredible form including the MVP of Kick-Off so far, Keiko, dropping incredible performances.

Team Liquids kamo took the top spot on the leaderboard for fragging out, whilst Keiko kept his performance to the highest level only 1 kill behind him on the flex/controller role.
Team Liquid off the bat, surprised Team Heretics and fans across EMEA with their Lotus comp, switching from the traditional comp to a wacky Reyna, Clove comp with Keiko returning the Reyna back to stage and dropping a 20/8 KD.
This undoubtably shocked Team Heretics, however fans assumed that they would bounce back.
Unfortuatley, it never happened and Team Liquid steamrolled through Team Heretics 13-4, 13-4 and 13-7. They didn’t once get double digits in rounds against the powerhouse Liquid.

One thing that shocked fans more than the Keiko Reyna was the nAts Fade. It is heavily documented that nAts has only played 4 agents across his time in franchising, including Cypher, Chamber, Killjoy and Viper.
This win sends Team Liquid to their first Masters event since 2023, and knocking out one of the heavy favourites to win EMEA Kick-Off, whilst they go on to face off against another big favourite, Team Vitality.
With this loss, Team Heretics are out of Kick-Off and will now have to watch from the sidelines as they wait for Stage 1 to start up and hopefully regain their 2024 form and make it back to the international stage.
