The newest super-team, Team Vitality, have lifted the first trophy for their org, after a clean reverse sweep over Team Liquid in the Grand Finals of EMEA VCT Kick-Off.

After both teams took down Team Heretics to guarantee a spot in Masters Bangkok, the French organisation has secured their first trophy of the year, with hopes of more to come from this international roster of talent.

After bombing out of VCT Champions Seoul last year, they made great changes adding the talent of VCT Masters winner Derke as their main Duelist and VCT Champions winner Less as their Sentinel player.

These changes took Vitality from a top 3 team in EMEA to a top 1 team in EMEA.

Despite dropping the series, Keiko from Team Liquid once again, took the top spot on the leaderboard with 88 frags followed closely by Sayf on the winning side.

Less, despite learning English only 3 months ago, has managed to fit into this roster perfectly and has kept his fragging ability that was so prominent on his time on LOUD.

The three main firepower components of Team Vitality showed up in this series with 80 frags or more on each of them, leaving Liquid in the dust and picking up this trophy for the team.

Less also becomes the first player in VCT history to win regional trophies in two different regions in the new franchising era. N4RRATE from Sentinels was the only other player that came close, losing 3-2 to G2 Esports in the Grand Final of Americas Kick-Off after winning Kick-Off last year with Karmine Corp in EMEA.

This win gives Team Vitality number 1 seed going into Masters Bangkok meaning that they will face off against a different regions 2nd place side, this could be either:

Americas 2nd Place – Sentinels

APAC 2nd Place – T1

China 2nd Place – Trace Esports

VCT Masters Bangkok will kick off on the 20th February with the matches yet to be announced.
