Nearly all champions winning sides implode after they take home the coveted VCT Champions trophy.
The only outlier to this would be EDG who, despite winning champs, have carried that form into the new season putting their names down for the Upper Final of Masters Bangkok with a convincing win over T1.
CHICOO went ballistic this series putting up monster performances across all three maps carrying his team over the edge in the final map, Pearl, taking it 13-11 dropping 32 kills within regulation time.

He ended the series with a whopping 72 kills across just 63 rounds of VALORANT earning a well deserved 1.66 vlr rating for his performance.
In a post match interview with TenZ and Tarik, ZmjjKK credits this performance due to meeting his idol on the internationl stage, nAts, who they recently defeated 2-0 in the swiss stage of this tournament.
ZmjjKK, who is well known for his MVP performance in last years Champions Seoul grand final, dropping 111 kills, has been consistently at the top of the leaderboard this tournament.
The biggest difference is that CHICHOO has joined him at the top of the leader board alongside the occasional ‘pop-off’ from Smoggy.

With this win, Edward Gaming advance into the Upper Finals of Masters Bangkok, two wins away from winning their second consecutive trophy in VCT, where they will fight off against the winner of G2 and Team Vitality for a spot in the Grand Final.
This loss sends T1 down to a lower bracket run where they will be facing against the loser of G2 and Team Vitality to see who will be the next team to drop out of VCT Masters Bangkok.
