The first team has been named for the first Grand Final of VCT 2025, with the Americas 2023 Ascension team making it all the way to the Grand Final of Masters Bangkok.

G2 finally get their revenge after Edward Gaming took them down earlier in this tournament, with a win confirming their spot in the final whilst sending Edward Gaming down to the lower bracket to fight it out once again to make it back to the finals.

Despite having a rough tournament, Jawgemo really stepped it up for G2 in this series with the Yoru, which has seemed to have been his perma-agent throughout the 2025 VCT season.

Jawgemo topped the leader board with 37 frags across the two maps, showing why he was signed to this roster over Icy from last years G2 Core.

The match ended up being so one sided towards the American side, with a 13-8 and 13-7 map count, not letting EDG get their groove into the game and being shut down completely.

As pointed out by the tweet above, including Edward Gaming’s historic Champions winning run, they have only lost to G2, that includes two iterations of the team with Icy last year and now JAWGEMO where they are showing promise and looking like the favourites to take home the trophy.

With this win, Edward Gaming drop down to the lower bracket and will face off against the winner of T1 vs Team Vitality where they will look towards a Lower Bracket final matchup for a spot to face off against G2 for the title.
