The second seed of APAC has booked themselves a slot in the Lower Finals of Masters Bangkok after taking down the EMEA ‘Super Team’ Team Vitality in a reverse sweep 2-1.

Pacific’s last hope remains alive in Bangkok with this victory, after their APAC counterparts, DRX, went out early in 5th-6th place in the Swiss Stage.

BuZz returned to the top of the scoreboard with 57 frags across the three maps, whilst one of the debated ‘GOAT’s of VALORANT, Derke, was on the losing side of this series with 46 kills still topping the scoreboard for his side.

Despite having such a strong kick-off, Team Vitality’s IGL Sayf has not been able to carry that form into Masters Bangkok and had another poor series going -15 across three different roles in the three maps.

He picked up Jett, which made him such a hot commodity across VCT in 2023, where he had his best map. However, his other maps let him down and being on the IGL makes him less available to focus on his crosshair, which is a standard problem across all IGL’s in FPS games.

With this win over Team Vitality, the final three of Masters Bangkok has been decided, with two of the sides coming from Asia.

  • G2 Esports (Americas)
  • Edward Gaming (China)
  • T1 (Pacific)

With Edward Gaming currently being the holders of the Champions trophy, you would think that they would be the current favourites to take home the trophy, however, with the recent win over Edward Gaming, G2 look like the heavy favourites to take home the trophy.
