After shocking the VCT World and making Masters Bangkok, Team Liquid make a questionable decision dropping one of their three new signings this year, Kamyk, from their starting roster.

He was a key part to their success in EMEA this season with countless clutches to make them the second best side in EMEA. Despite only signing for the organisation in November 2024, this five man roster shook up VCT making Masters Bangkok over teams like FNATIC, Team Heretics and FUT Esports.

Despite this success, he has been dropped from the roster announced in the below tweet.

This tweet announces that he has been dropped however, the video ends on a cliffhanger with them not announcing the name of the new player that will replace him in their VALORANT side for Stage 1 of EMEA.

Despite not announcing it in the video above, they then posted a message on X earlier today hinting at who they have signed to join the side.

It was rumoured that they would be signing Serial from HGE Esport and will be bringing him into VCT for the first time.

Serial is a Sentinel player who has initiator experience, so fans are wondering who will be picking up what role between nAts and Serial, with the IGL Initiator trend becoming more popular in VCT 2025, and nAts’ Fade debut in Masters, it could look like nAts transitioning over to the Initiator role.

With Kamyk being dropped from Liquid after a rather impressive performance in the start of the year, he will be a hot prospect across VCT EMEA with certain teams having very poor starts considering the ceiling put on them.

It seems that Gentle Mates have snagged Kamyk just moments after he was dropped from the Liquid roster, it seems he will be replacing RobbieBK who is a fan favourite of this Gentle Mates roster despite having poor performances in kick-off.

Team Liquids VALORANT roster for Stage 1 now looks like:

Kamo (Duelist)

Keiko (Controller/ Secondary Duelist)

PatiTek (Initiator)

nAts (Sentinel)

Serial (Sentinel)
