Former TALON Player, Governor Join EMEA Side Apeks For Stage 1 OF VCT

TALON’s roster change led Governor to join Apeks in EMEA, shifting roles and aiming for better cohesion.

After a rough start to the season for TALON, they decided to make the change and go full Thai in their roster to create somewhat of a team cohesion going into Stage 1 of APAC, which meant that Ban and Governor had to be dropped from their roster.

Fans were wondering if Governor would return to Americas, where he was in Tier 2 for 2023 before joining TALON. However, it seems that he has chosen EMEA as his destination for the foreseeable future joining another 2 NA professionals in Florescent and Oderus.

Fans were confused as to how Apeks have managed to bypass the 1 import rule for VCT, but this was done because this rule has 0 effect on players that come directly from the Game Changers circuit, which florescent did. Also Oderus, despite playing in Kick-Off, is their Coach so he also doesn’t come under the import rule in VCT.

This pickup went completely under the radar of X users as there was little to no information on Apeks during this break from Kick-Off after a underwhelming performance despite Florescent being one of the best Duelists at the tournament in only 2 games.

Governor will step into this roster in place of hype, who had a rough time in Kick-Off on the Sentinel role.

Governor, who played Duelist on TALON, is expected to pick up the initiator role on Apeks, which he briefly played on the rear end of last seasons Champions run for TALON.

Governor was dropped from TALON in late February and has now become the first player in VCT to have played in 2 Regions with neither of them being his home region.

Apeks now goes into Stage 1 of EMEA looking like:

Florescent (Duelist)

Batujanx (Flex)

AvovA (Controller)

MOLSI (Initiator)

Governor (Initiator)

It is expected that one of AvovA or MOLSI will be picking up the Sentinel role as Batujanx and Florescent looks really promising on the duelist role in Kick-Off.
