KRU Esports kick off their Stage 1 with a comfortable win over LOUD. After losing to them at the start of Kick-Off, they bounced back and beat them on the reverse fixture and now have bested them twice this year.

After being rated as one of the better teams coming into this season, KRU had a rough start to VCT this year with Visa issues being the root of all problems for the LATAM side. However, now those issues are gone, it seems so has their poor form. They took the series 2-1 over Brazilian giants LOUD.

Keznit topped the scoreboard with 53 frags across the three maps on the duelist role he has become famous on in LATAM. On the losing side, dgzin topped the team however, it didn’t show his form that he showed in Kick-Off with his AWP being shut down constantly in this series.

The first map, Fracture went the way of LOUD 13-3 showing a great attack side from LOUD winning the first half of the map 11-1, and then closing it out 13-3. The second map, Haven, went the literal opposite way with KRU taking it 13-2 and keznit going 20-9 on the Yoru which many teams have started to adapt to. The final map, Split, was more even with a 13-10 scoreline going in favour of KRU.

Keznit also secured the first ace of VCT Americas with a ghost ace to kick off Split, carrying over his fragging from Haven into the final map, setting the tone for the end of the series.

With this win, KRU will go on to face off against Sentinels being up 1-0 with Sentinels coming off of the back of a weak Masters and going to start their season against 100 Thieves.

LOUD will go into a fellow Brazilian organisation 2Game Esports with a 0-1 record hoping to make that 1-1 against one of the worse teams in VCT this year across all regions.
