After winning Masters Bangkok, the literal Best Team in the World have returned to APAC with their trophy winning form, taking down ZETA 2-1 in their victorious return.

Despite dropping a map, T1 still looked strong, not changing their comps at all since their trophy win. Presumably because they don’t have the preparation time compared to the other teams in APAC that had stayed at home during Masters Bangkok practicing their comps.

Meteor topped the scoreboard this series with 54 frags across the three maps playing three different roles. He played map one, Fracture, on the Vyse. He then played map two, Split, on the Viper and then finished the final map, Haven, on the Iso which he has become very famous for being one of the best in the world on that agent.

T1 are still leaning heavily into the idea of double duelist with BuZz still being the primary duelist but behind him being either Meteor or iZu who can flex across the Yoru, Iso and Jett respectively.

Teams are now across VCT leaning into the Yoru meta with teams like Sentinels, G2, Team Vitality, T1. This is slipping into the meta across VCT with teams like ZETA, Karmine Corp and NRG are leaning into it not just the teams with Yoru players.

This meta has led to the ZETA head coach asking Riot to nerf Neon and Yoru, with the aggressive playstyles coming to fruition as the best comps in VCT, despite this, Riot probably won’t do this since it gives teams something to question on whether or not they will include Yoru or Neon in their comps.

After this win over ZETA, T1 will go on to face off against Nongshim RedForce where they will try and double their record in Stage 1 setting up for a strong argument of them being one of the favourites to make it to Masters Toronto.

Meanwhile, after this loss ZETA will face Team Secret where they will hope to tie up their record to 1-1 and keep their dreams of another international event alive.
