After being benched by NRG from Kick-Off, Verno has found a new home in MIBR with a Brazilian Core which led him to his first win in VCT Americas Stage 1 against an American core of Leviatan with their new IGL Rossy.
After losing out to a spot in Masters Bangkok to Sentinels, MIBR made the decision to cut nzr from their roster, as his performance wasn’t up to the standard of the other players especially since he is not the IGL anymore. They were contemplating for a while who to sign to the roster, however, when Verno from NRG became available, they picked him up to their roster taking a huge risk.
At the start of the season, MIBR took the route of an all-star Brazilian roster with Aspas as the centre. They have now moved to an English speaking roster with this addition, taking a risk playing in something other than their native language.
However, despite signing Verno to their roster, when he dies in game, the roster communicates in Portuguese. As seen in their comms video that was posted on x.com.

Surprisingly this series, aspas had the second lowest ACS on the roster with their IGL, artzin, taking the top spot on the leader board on the Breach and the Harbour.
A stat that shocked fans across VCT, in particular Sliggy, a former Team Liquid Head Coach turned co-streamer. On the defence side of Split, artzin put up 574 ACS with 18 kills in only 8 rounds, putting him in the record standings for a half of VALORANT, despite not playing the full 12 rounds.

After this win, MIBR will go on to face off against the 2nd best team in the world, according to the last Masters results, G2. They will look to extend their record to 2-0 and try and create the best chance for their appearance at the next Masters event in Toronto.
Leviatan will look towards Cloud9 who have just clinically beaten NRG 2-1 showing that, with a consistent roster, they are a force to be reckoned with, especially Xeppaa and OXY who seem to be impressing everytime they play.
