Waylay has made her first appearance in VCT EMEA, with MiniBoo from Heretics showing her on Ascent against Apeks.
Coming into this series, Heretics where coming off the back of a poor start to the season with fans expecting a Masters Bangkok appearance, they disappointed by bombing out of Kick-Off.
florescent also picked up the Waylay on the Icebox, however it didn’t go as planned with them eventually bombing out of the deciding map 13-6 and florescent going 2/6 in First Kills to First Deaths.

The Series MVP was MiniBoo who debuted Waylay on Ascent, then relied on his comfort picks of Raze on Split and Neon on Icebox where he showed the world how good he was last year on those two agents in particular.
In a very uncharacteristic performance from florescent, she ended the series with a 40/49 KD which doesnt seem bad, but considering her performances on the Jett and Pheonix in Kick-off, fans know her cieling and expecting a lot more from her in this series against one of the better teams in EMEA.
It was actually AvovA’s time to shine topping the leaderboard for Apeks showing that he is still capable of putting up the numbers that earned his team promotion last year in Ascension against other huge teams.

Wo0t also returned to Iso, which he found huge success last year on, showing his aggressive playstyle is suited to this meta of double duelist being flaunted by T1 in Masters Bangkok during their historic win.
This win sets Heretics up for a strong start in EMEA Stage 1, going 1-0 in games and giving their fans hope to look ahead to GIANTX next week, where they will hope to double their record and continue their winning form.
Apeks, however, will look to re-cooperate their form and hope to get their first win of Stage 1 against NAVI next week, whilst NAVI are still to play FNATIC in week 1, fans are looking forward to the NA Duelists facing off next week between NAVI and Apeks.
