After being one of two teams to make it to Masters Bangkok, Sentinels returned to Americas, beating rivals 100 Thieves, to now lose emphatically to KRU Esports.

Coming into this series, Sentinels were still favourites to take the win, as their history against KRU in VCT is 2 wins and 0 losses against the LATAM side. However, a new story was set this year with a devastating 2-0 loss.

KRU are coming off of the back of an impressive win over LOUD where they started their Stage 1 with a top of the league win and their form definitely carried over to this series with an impressive performance from keznit and their new signing Mazino.

Keznit topped the leader board with an impressive 42 frags across the two maps, with Mazino following in suit with 40 frags on the Flex role picking up Breach and Harbour between Lotus and Icebox.

On the losing side, Zellsis had a particular rough game on the Sentinel role, only managing 16 kills across the two maps, which is contradictory to his Kick-Off performances where he managed to top the leader board in crucial games between G2 and MIBR.

Despite losing the series, Zekken had a very impressive individual performance on the Icebox playing Jett. He landed an Ace for the ages with an incredible final shot onto keznit where he had one bullet in the chamber, went ADS and one tapped for the final kill.

Sentinels will look to bounce back after this loss against Evil Geniuses next week, where their 1-1 record should turn to a 2-1 record and propel them into play-offs contention despite this rough game against KRU.

KRU however, will look to improve their record even further and carry on their unbeaten streak in Stage 1, which they had last year. They will face off against 2Game Esports, who are looking like one of the worst teams in the league this year, with KRU looking for a 3-0 record.
