After a rough start to their VCT 25 year, 100 Thieves have seemingly found their run of form after defeating Evil Geniuses last week, and now the Brazilian Giants, LOUD.

With the new meta of duelists being Yoru and Waylay being abused, neither team in this series opted for either of those agents. Cryo stuck to the Iso, Jett and Sage whilst his teammate Asuna remained on the Neon and the Raze. On the losing side, dgzin opted for a Neon, Raze and a shock pick of Reyna for Icebox.

With both teams looking behind meta at the moment, it was up to individuals to step up and perform for their team, which Cryocells did.

Cryo ended the series with 68 frags and a +24 KDA after the three maps. However, despite his strong performance, another player impressed fans on the LOUD side.

lukxo debuted for his first match against 100 Thieves where he stood in for Tuyz, and he ended the series only 2 frags off of Cryo, whilst playing on the hard anchor Sentinel role. This was his first series in Tier 1 after his time on Galorys in Tier 2 last year.

He just turned 18, meeting the age requirement for Tier 1 , so as soon as he was available, LOUD made the choice to slot him in and despite not winning the series, he impressed fans giving hope for LOUD’s year especially since their run in Kick-Off went without being missed.

After this win, 100 Thieves go 2-1 in groups, with a map count of 5/3. Whilst LOUD now plummet to the bottom of the group with a poor 0-3 record and only going 2/6 in map count across those three games.

100T will look towards 2Game Esports where they will be heavy favourites to beat them and improve their record to 3-1 and solidify their chances for Play-offs in Stage 1.

LOUD however, with their chances looking slim to make playoffs, will need to beat Sentinels, who are looking very good coming off the back of Masters Bangkok. They are sitting at 0-3 and will look to hopefully make it to 2-3 for their chances for an international event this year.
