DRX join BOOM in guaranteed playoffs with their 2-0 win over Global Esports which ended swiftly with 13-3 and 13-10 scorelines across the two maps.

Estrella made his debut for DRX after joining the team recently despite being dropped by RRQ at the end of Kick-Off. He showed a strong performance, dropping an MVP performance on Ascent on the Vyse and then picking up the Omen on Split whilst MaKo stuck to his comfort picks of Omen and Viper.

They become the second team in Pacific to book their spot in Playoffs carrying on their regional form after winning Kick-Off. They went out of Masters Bangkok with a poor performance with their counterparts, T1, winning the whole tournament.

Flashback topped the leaderboard with 41 frags across the two maps on his new role of secondary Duelist. DRX, since coming back from Masters Bangkok, they are leaning into the double duelist which was made popular from T1, the Bangkok winners.

Despite most teams leaning into the Yoru and Iso double duelist, DRX played Raze and Neon on Split in this series, with Flashback on the Neon getting 6 first kills across the map.

With DRX winning this series, they become the next team in Play offs only allowing for 2 more teams from Group Alpha to make it. This includes Paper Rex, GenG, DFM and Global Esports. It seems that the favourites to next make it from Group Alpha are GenG and Global Esports with Paper Rex’s bad run of form.

DRX will look towards BOOM, who are also 3-0 in their group meaning that someone will lose their unbeaten streak and will lose their chances of a #1 seed in Playoffs.

Global Esports will go on to fight for their spot in playoffs against GenG next week, with both teams looking for the #3 seed and both being in the best positions to make it through.
