The newest team of VCT Pacifc, BOOM Esports, have created history with a 5-0 scoreline in their Stage 1 games after bombing out of Kick-off not winning a single series.

Despite making 0 changes to their roster, they seem to have changed completely and become a team that looks like one of the best teams in the region.

They have beaten teams such as Paper Rex, DRX and GenG, organisations with trophies under their names whilst BOOM don’t even have an ascension trophy.

Shiro took the top spot in the leader board in this series with 39 frags across the two maps on the Initiator role picking up the Tejo and the Sova, being able to support his Duelist, Famouz, take the opening duels with 11 first kills compared to DFM Meiy’s 4.

A lot of fans are very disappointed in DFM’s performance in VCT in the past 3 years. They have managed to get a total of 4 wins in their 3 years in the league. It is almost a win a year for this Japanese roster.

This series really put into perspective the records for each roster with BOOM being an Acension team who finished 2nd place last year, but got promoted due to a complication with BLEED Esports being relegated. Whilst DFM are a partnered side that have managed less wins in three years compared to BOOM’s 4 months.

This loss sends DFM looking towards Stage 2 of VCT Pacific, where either changes have to be made to this roster or they will need drastic improvement in their current roster as they will be looking to make their first international earlier that later.

This win solidifes BOOM’s number 1 seed for Play offs where they will face off against the winner of Seed 2 of Group Omega and the Seed 3 of Group Alpha. Coming off of the back of a 5-0 group stage, they are looking like favourites to make it to Masters Toronto.
