G2, despite having no international success this year, have completed regional dominance with 3 back to back trophy wins in Kick-Off, Stage 1 and now Stage 2 with wins over Sentinels and now NRG.

Despite having to play the majority of Stage 2 with a substitute of BABYBAY, they still managed to make it all the way to the semi-finals before leaf was ready to compete again. They only dropped one game of Stage 2 which was their opening game against Sentinels, where fans could tell that BABYBAY was just getting used to the stage and the pressure that comes alongside that.

Going off of just the scoreboard, it would be hard to be able to tell who won this series, however, it was a clean 3-0 victory for G2 in this 5 map series with trent taking top spot on the leader board with only 49 kills.

They managed to subdue mada, who has been NRG’s main wincon throughout Stage 2. leaf returning to the team has also meant that every player is on the same level and the same page, where G2 are back to playing ‘perfect VALORANT’.

All eyes are now towards Champions Paris, where G2 will look to finally get their hands onto an international trophy. JAWGEMO will also be looking to get his second Champions trophy, after his historical win in 2023 with Evil Geniuses over Paper Rex.
