The Esports World Cup Champions have completed the first step towards their second trophy of the year at Champions Paris with a comfortable 2-0 win over T1.
Two International trophy winners faced off in this series where the winner would go straight to play-offs was decided to be the EWC winners over the Masters Bangkok winners.
After a shock win over G2, Team Heretics were looking on form to carry on the momentum to make it all the way similar to last year where they managed the Grand Final, eventually losing out to Edward Gaming.

RieNs and Wo0t shared the top spot on the leaderboard in this series, with Wo0t taking up a more fragging role on the Chamber and Raze compared to the series against G2 where he played Viper and Chamber. Allowing him to return back to Masters Shanghai form where he took over the Duelist whilst MiniBoo took time away from VALORANT.
Another trend that followed on from their series against G2, was MiniBoo beginning the rounds with a kill 10 times, managing to create so much space and control the round from there whilst Boo can read the game and see what needs to be done. Brother chemistry came through this series.
Despite this, T1 still have a chance to make it to play-offs, however, they will need to beat the force of G2 who are heavy favourites to win the entire tournament.
Team Heretics can now focus on practice and scrims waiting until they find out who their opponent will be in the upper quarter finals of Champions.
