G2 have got their revenge 6 months after T1 took their first trophy away from them in Bangkok.

After their win in Bangkok, T1 went on a rough run into Champions Paris despite having multiple international winners on their team in Meteor and a new roster after removing Sylvan and adding in DH for their Champions journey.

Unfortunately for them, they had to run into G2, who maintained their form all year round dominating the Americas region with all 3 trophies going their way. And this series showed why they won those trophies, They looked incredibly comfortable despite facing off against such a great squad in T1.

Once again, jawgemo took the top spot of the series with 42 frags and 11 entries on the Yoru. It shows that jawgemo on the international stage becomes a different man. Fans do call him ‘dawgemo’ for a reason.

T1 have leaned heavily into the double duelist meta with BuZz and iZu taking on dive duelists rather than an Iso or a Raze they prioritise BuZz on Neon and iZu on Yoru. However, this series he tried out the Waylay on Corrode, following their Korean counterside, DRX copying their composition.

With this win, G2 will advance onto play-offs and complete their dynasty with all international events this year and making play-offs every time after dominating regionally all year. They will look towards earning their trophy to go along with their consistency.

T1 will now go out of Champions Paris with their year ending here. However, they end the year with a strong regional performance all year round and taking home a Masters Trophy going onto the short list of international winners.
