The long standing rivalry between the two big teams of Pacific, Paper Rex and DRX has ended this time with a DRX win carrying on the recent tradition of one win each way, taking turns.

The last battle between these two teams came in the Grand Final of the Qualifier for EWC where Paper Rex took down DRX 3-1. However, at the time Estrella was starting for DRX and this time, flashback took his spot in the roster.

Despite Jinggg having a lights-out performance on the side of Paper Rex, HYUNMIN shined a bit too bright for him to fightback alone. The DRX Duelist dropped 55 frags across the two maps whilst Jinggg closely followed with 48 kills.

The double duelist, Yoru and Waylay has become DRX’s perfect style in this tournament with this composition taking main stage and stopping many teams in their tracks such as MIBR, G2 and Team Liquid twice.

The Masters Toronto winners took the 4th place in Champions Paris, marking their second top four finish at Champions, after their 2nd place at Champions LA where they lost the series against home favourites Evil Geniuses.

Despite this loss, Paper Rex hold their heads high since they are finishing this year after a disastrous start, missing out on Masters Bangkok and then making it to Masters Toronto by Slim margins, winning it and regaining their past form to make a run at Champions Paris and getting a top 4 finish.

For DRX, their dream run continues as they blast through their former top 6 curse with this guaranteed top 3 where they will have to face off against FNATIC, who are looking for a trophy after 2 2nd place finishes already this year against Paper Rex in Toronto, and Team Heretics in Saudi during the E sports World Cup.
