FURIA and KRÜ Esports kicked off their VCT Americas campaign with a series that felt less like an opener and more like a statement match. From the first pistol to the final round, the rivalry energy was unmistakable, and by the end of it all, FURIA stood tall after a fiery 2–1 comeback that brought the arena to life.

KRÜ set the tone immediately on Pearl, playing fearless VALORANT and refusing to give FURIA any breathing room. Every round was contested, every inch of the map fought over, and KRÜ consistently came out on top in the scrappiest moments. Their confidence only grew as the map went on, and despite FURIA’s attempts to wrestle back control, KRÜ slammed the door shut with a 13–10 victory that sent a clear message: they weren’t here to play it safe.

That message didn’t go unanswered for long. Breeze became FURIA’s battleground, and from the opening rounds it was clear they had flipped the switch. The Brazilian side played with urgency and aggression, finding opening picks and snowballing the economy in their favor. KRÜ tried to slow the pace, but FURIA were relentless, turning every small advantage into another round on the board. As the scoreline widened, the momentum felt irreversible, and FURIA powered through to a 13–8 win to force a decider.

By the time Abyss arrived, FURIA were fully unleashed. They stormed through the early rounds, suffocating KRÜ with fast rotations and perfectly timed utility. Every attempted comeback was shut down before it could begin, and the confidence pouring out of FURIA was palpable. KRÜ fought to stay alive, but the Brazilian squad had complete control, closing out the map 13–5 in dominant fashion to seal the reverse sweep.

The series was full of momentum swings, clutch moments, and raw emotion—exactly what VCT Americas thrives on. FURIA walked away with a statement win built on resilience and fire, while KRÜ, despite fielding a pick-up roster, proved they can go toe-to-toe with the top teams in Americas. If this match was any indication, the Americas region is in for an explosive season.
