Coming off of the back of a rough opening game against Gentle Mates, GIANTX fired back against the newly promoted org, PCIFIC Esports, with a tough 2-1 win.
Map 1 was controlled by GIANTX, with them taking the first 4 rounds to their own on the defense side, and eventually taking the first half 9-3, setting the tone for the rest of the map. Despite PCIFIC making somewhat a response in the second half, they only managed 8 rounds before GIANTX made it to 13 rounds and finished the map strong, showing signs of what got them to Champions Paris in 2025.
Map 2 took place on Bind, with PCIFIC taking a much better stance on the first half, actually taking it to 7-5 before the half time break with seven dropping 19 kills in 12 rounds, somewhat carrying the team over the line. They then however, got the tables turned on them and GIANTX managed to tie up the series and take it into overtime with a masterclass from Cloud whilst IGL’ing dropping 29 kills. PCIFIC managed to take the series 14-12 and eventually made it to map 3.
Split was the battleground for the series point, with GIANTX starting off strong with 4 rounds in a row, snowballing from their bonus round into eco with Cloud and ara taking the main stage once again. However, PCIFIC managed to scramble back with magic plays from seven and al0rante and take the first half to 6-6. PCIFIC then took 4 rounds in a row, somewhat mirroring the GIANTX start to the series, before a rough battle ended with GIANTX taking the win 13-10 and advancing through the Kick-Off Bracket.

GIANTX will advance to face off against the winner of ULF vs Team Heretics on the 30th of January. PCIFIC Esports will now have to fight for their survival in EMEA Kick-off against the loser of ULF vs Team Heretics on the 3rd of Febuary.
