Leviatán delivered one of their most composed performances of the season, sweeping Sentinels 2-0 in a knockout VCT Americas series. In a matchup that many expected to be tightly contested, the Latin American squad controlled the series from start to finish, outpacing Sentinels in mid-round adaptations and clutch execution.
The opening map set the tone for the series. Sentinels showed early promise, contesting space aggressively and finding impact through fast hits with Reduxx now moved onto the Waylay and N4RRATE moved to the Neon where he performed astronomically better. But Leviatán never allowed the game to spiral. Their defensive setups were layered and patient, consistently forcing Sentinels into late-round decisions with limited utility.
What separated Leviatán on map one was their trading discipline. Nearly every Sentinels pick was immediately answered, neutralizing momentum before it could build. A pivotal late-half swing round, where Leviatán converted a low-buy into a site retake which shifted the economy firmly in their favour. From there, they closed the map with clinical precision, maintaining composure in the final rounds to secure the opener taking Corrode 13-10.
If map one was about structure, map two was about resilience.
LEVIATAN came out sharper, winning early duels and building a modest lead. Their mid-round calls looked cleaner, and for a moment it felt like the series might level. But Sentinels thrived under pressure. Round after round, they clawed back disadvantages through coordinated retakes and late lurk timings that caught LEV off guard.
The turning point came in a scrappy post-plant scenario where Leviatán, down in numbers, perfectly layered utility to isolate fights and steal a round that seemed unwinnable. That clutch broke Sentinels’ economy and, more importantly, their rhythm. From that point onward, Leviatán dictated the pace, slowing the game down and forcing Sentinels into uncomfortable executes.
A final defensive stand sealed the map and the series, capping off a 2-0 victory that felt earned through preparation and composure rather than explosive fragging alone.

Leviatan showed exceptional trading and spacing across both maps Strong economic management after swing rounds Calm, coordinated late-round decision-making.
The 2-0 result marks a significant step forward for Leviatán in VCT Americas. Against a high-profile opponent like Sentinels, this wasn’t just a win, it was a step in the right direction to make it to the first LATAM Masters in history.
