Nongshim RedForce continue their long standing unbeaten streak defeating G2 in the Upper Semifinal of Masters Santiago.

145 days since their last defeat in VCT , during their defence of their Ascension spot against NAOS. This includes wins over T1, Gentle Mates and now G2 added to the list of VIP teams that have been defeated by NS.

The first map went to Abyss in this series with G2 taking up a new composition with a Neon which is highly unusual, since Neon’s worst map is most definitely Abyss. With this composition change, they took the map 13-7 setting up for a series of two giants facing off.

Map 2 went to Corrode, where Dambi was back onto Neon, onto his dominant agent. He dropped 20 kills in the first half, almost single handedly took the map for himself. He ended the map with 25 kills closing the series 13-7 and setting up a Split 3rd map for this back-to-back series.

Split was a much more battled affair with Nongshim originally taking the first half 8-4 on their defense side. G2 fired back, however, on their defense with another 8-4 half setting up an overtime series where neither team wanted to give up.

It ended with Nongshim RedForce taking it 14-12 alongside Dambi and Francis dropping 23/24 kills with only leaf on G2’s side being the player fighting back, dropping over 20 kills.

The MVP of the series undoubetly went to Dambi on the side of NS, with an incredible 66 kills after strong start to his VCT 2026 season, dominating the APAC region and now carrying that over to the international stage.

With the win, Nongshim RedForce set up an Upper final series against the winner of Paper Rex vs NRG later on today.

G2 will now drop down to Lower Round 2 where they will face off against the EMEA First Seed, BBL Esports, who are very outspoken about their confidence against American VALORANT teams.
