The Masters Toronto Winners seem to be reaching their prime form at the right moment at Masters Santiago with a confident 2-1 victory over All Gamers solidifying yet another top four finish at an international event.

Map one took place on Corrode, where Paper Rex still kept to their solo Duelist Waylay composition with something being the hard entry role followed up by Jingg on the Omen. All Gamers opted for putting their star player F4ngeer onto the Chamber, allowing for control of mid and a comfortably on their defense and he was able to open up their defence on AG’s attack side.

The composition diff made it very hard for Paper Rex to stay in the game, eventually dropping the first map 13-10 after a shocking 3-9 first half.

something was activated on the second map of Pearl, where Paper Rex slightly changed their comp to a Neon rather than a Phoenix which allowed for explosive site takes and it gave something much more freedom to frag out including the incredible 2v1 clutch that put the series into the motion of Paper Rex.

Paper Rex managed a 13-7 win on Pearl resetting the standard that so many fans were used to seeing from the Masters Toronto winning side.

Things got heated in the final map on split, after a second round conversion where Shr1mp took the defuse right in front of something, somewhat unleashing his full potential in this series, where from 0-2, Paper Rex managed to end the half 9-3 after winning 9 straight rounds out of All Gamers hands.

This led to a clean close out by the VCT Pacific side, with something dominating the Split going 23-7 on the Yoru.

All Gamers make it to 5th-6th place after this loss, marking the furthest a Chinese team made it in this tournament after Xi Lai Gaming and EDward Gaming went out of the tournament in the swiss-stage with 0-2 records.

With Paper Rex taking the win, they now advance into Lower Round 3 where they will face off against G2, in a do-or-die series. Loser goes home and winner lives another day.
