An utterly dominating performance from the LATAM side ends EDward Gaming’s run at Masters London with a 3rd place finish.
LEVIATÁN had to overcome the defending world champions in what many considered the true Grand Final before the Grand Final. Facing off against EDward Gaming in the Lower Bracket Final, the Americas 2nd seed produced one of their most complete performances of the tournament to secure a place in tomorrows Grand Final.
Coming into the series, EDG carried the weight of expectation. The Chinese powerhouse had once again found form on the international stage and looked poised to add another grand final appearance to their growing legacy, with the Masters London fans filled with EDward Gaming fans and the support behind them at every turn. With players like ZmjjKK capable of taking over a map at any moment, many believed LEVIATÁN would need a near-perfect performance to survive.
From the opening rounds, LEVIATÁN looked prepared for everything EDG wanted to throw at them. Their mid-rounding from kiNgg consistently disrupted EDG’s usual tempo, while their utility usage denied many of the aggressive openings that have become a trademark of the Chinese side. Rather than allowing EDG’s stars to dictate the pace, LEV forced them into uncomfortable situations throughout the series.
While EDG had moments of brilliance, they never truly looked in control. Every time they seemed ready to build momentum, LEVIATÁN found a crucial multi-kill, a perfectly timed rotation, or an unexpected tactical adjustment to halt the comeback. The difference between the two teams was not mechanical skill but composure, with LEV appearing far more confident in the biggest moments.
The victory also highlighted the growth of this LEVIATÁN roster throughout Masters London. Earlier in the event they had shown flashes of championship potential, but against EDward Gaming they finally put together a complete series against one of the strongest teams in the world. Their ability to remain disciplined under pressure would ultimately become one of the defining factors of their tournament run.

For EDward Gaming, the defeat marked a disappointing end to another strong international campaign. Despite entering London as one of the 1st seeds, and once again proving why they remain among the elite teams in VALORANT, they were unable to find the consistency required to overcome a red-hot LEVIATÁN squad. Their tournament would end in third place, falling just one series short of another international final.
With the win, LEVIATÁN have booked a rematch against Paper Rex in the Grand Final. Having already lost to the Pacific side earlier in the tournament, they will look to the Grand Final with a chance at redemption.
