After back to back 2nd place finishes at Masters Toronto and at the Esports World Cup, FNATIC have confirmed their place in the Grand Final of Champions Paris against NA side NRG.
The series began with DRX showing no signs of intimidation. Their structure on defense and patience in late-round situations allowed them to dictate the pace early, punishing FNATIC whenever they overextended. DRX’s coordination in retakes and their ability to isolate fights gave them early control of the series, forcing FNATIC to respond rather than dictate. It was a reminder of why DRX had long been considered one of the most consistent teams in international play.
FNATIC, however, adapted quickly. As the series progressed, their experience began to show, particularly in mid-round decision-making. FNATIC tightened their defensive setups, denied DRX space, and leaned into their util usage to win critical engagements. Players like Chronicle and Alfajer stepped up in key moments, finding impact frags that swung momentum back in FNATIC’s favour and shifted the tone of the match.
The decisive moments came down to composure under pressure. While DRX continued to fight for every round, FNATIC’s confidence in clutch situations proved decisive. Their ability to remain calm in late-round scenarios, combined with sharper executions on attack, allowed them to close out the series and secure the win. It was a performance built not on dominance alone, but on resilience and adaptation.

Whilst usually this season it is Alfajer kaajak or Chronicle taking the top spot on the leaderboard, it was actually the veteran of VCT, crashies who topped it with his fragging in this series. He dropped an incredible 65/39 KD whilst on the initiator role, shining whilst in clutches whilst also setting his team up for success.
In the end, FNATIC’s victory over DRX at Champions Paris reinforced their reputation as one of the most mentally strong teams in VALORANT history. For DRX, the loss was another painful reminder of how fine the margins are at the highest level, despite their quality tha they showed the world all tournament.
With this win, FNATIC will get their rematch against NRG who beat them 2-0 in the Upper Bracket Final to secure their place in the Grand Final, awaiting their opponent who ended up being the EMEA powerhouse, FNATIC.
